Mish mosh

Where have I been? I got back from the beach and I had to get out of the vacation haze. It took some time but I’m now back on schedule. I wanted to share with y’all a mish mosh of things.

Here is my finished message board. I love the people in the middle… Can you guess who they are?

Tonight I went to a new restaurant with my book club called Pairings. Half of it is a restaurant and the other half is a wine store. Loved the food and the girl talk! Here are some yummy pictures :)

The newest member of book club. My friend, Jodi holding my friend, Lisa’s baby (Asher).

Back to reality

Why do vacations go by so fast?

Last night I flew back to Minneapolis. I spent last night unpacking (a lot of clothes that i didn’t wear). I have to admit Justin was right… I did not need to pack everything I own for my one week trip. Next time I will pack lighter(probably not). I came home with 3 new T-shirts and a new glassy baby ( for my b’day, 2 weeks from now). I’ll post pictures of these later.

Here are a couple more snaps from the trip.

Umbrella time= no sunburn

The last night on the beach is always… Happy Hour! All the family enjoying my dad’s Amazing cocktail concoctions.

The delicious Bloody Mary that I shared with mom on our last day at Stinky’s Fish Camp.

I should have snapped a picture of my Snapper po’boy. Just believe me it was delish.

When we got back to Birmingham I had to snap some pictures of the flowers in my parents yard.

And the vegetables!

And of course… Selly and Sassy playing in the plants!

Lots of Love,

Beach Bound

Just wanted to check in and let all of you know what’s going on in my life. Currently I am on vacation in Destin, Florida with my family. We just got here yesterday but I have already morphed into beach mode. (Sleeping till 8 and seeing the dilemma of today simply as where shall I spend my time today… pool or beach?) It’s basically paradise and I am planning on taking it all in.

Here are a couple of snaps but be sure to check back for more :)

Do you think we have enough stuff for the three of us?

Happiness is being back at the beach!

Lots of Love,

Erica

4th of July funfetti!

Any reason to celebrate means lots of sprinkles and maybe some cake balls. This time I was smart and baked the cake ahead of time. I ended up using 4th of July Funfetti cake (vanilla with red and blue sprinkles), white frosting, red candy coating and tons of sprinkles! Instead of it taking me all day (make cake, let cool, make cake balls, let freeze, dip in candy coating, let harden) it was about an hour :) I was lucky and Justin helped me finish decorating them.

What are you making for 4th of July?

(I ran out of white cake balls which ended the cute pattern.)

Lots of Love,

Erica
